Miflin Baptist Church is involved in a number of outreach ministries in the Miflin/Foley area and throughout Baldwin County. These include:
Baldwin County Mental Health
From the beginning Miflin Baptist has been involved in a ministry to the Baldwin County Mental Health Group Homes in both Foley and Robertsdale. The annual Christmas Party is a highlight of the year for the residents and our church members alike.
Food Pantry
The church keeps a well-stocked pantry of food and other items such as school supplies for those in need. Members contribute non-perishable items and/or money to meet needs in order to reach out with this effective and needed ministry.
Trunk or Treat
A new ministry of MBC is called Trunk or Treat held on Halloween. Church members provided treats for children from the trunks of their cars parked all around the church parking lot. Plans call for expanding this ministry in the future.
We have been involved in several community outreach projects and hope to continue to reach out to our communities.
Festival of Champions May 24th, 2010 at Baldwin County Colesium in Robertsdale, Al. Area churches and businesses worked together on this county wide Outreach event.
We had a childrens big top adventure (games and activities), local entertainment on a center stage, free hot dog lunch for kids, county wide bar-b-que competition with free samples, Alabama and Auburn sports personalities, fantasy sports challenge (seeing how people measure up to the pros), and skills competitions (soccer, basketball, and football). We had a prayer tent set up where we prayed with those who exited the event at the end of a family, fun event. We had over 800 children attend with over 200 volunteers.
